Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 2026
Welcome to ShipDealing. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our premium B2B maritime marketplace.
1 Role of ShipDealing
ShipDealing operates solely as a digital marketplace and technology provider connecting prospective buyers with ship owners, mandated brokers, and shipyards. ShipDealing does not own, inspect, or guarantee the condition, legal status, or title of any vessel listed on the platform. All transactions, negotiations, and Sale & Purchase (S&P) agreements are strictly between the buyer and the seller.
2 User Obligations & Accuracy of Information
As a seller or broker listing an asset, you warrant that you have the legal authority or direct mandate to sell the vessel. You must ensure that all specifications, tonnages, machinery details, and photographs are accurate and up-to-date. ShipDealing reserves the right to remove any listing deemed fraudulent, misleading, or inactive without prior notice.
3 Subscription & Memberships
Certain features, including access to sensitive vessel documents (GA Plans, IMO numbers) and the ability to list vessels, require an active PRO or ENTERPRISE subscription. Subscriptions are billed manually via invoice. ShipDealing does not offer refunds for active subscription periods unless the platform fails to provide the agreed-upon digital service.
4 Prohibited Activities
By using this platform, you strictly agree not to engage in the following prohibited activities:
- Uploading vessels that you do not have a direct or verifiable mandate to sell (Phantom Listings).
- Submitting fake Letters of Intent (LOI) or spamming sellers with fraudulent inquiries.
- Scraping, crawling, or extracting data from the ShipDealing database for external commercial use or competitive analysis.
- Uploading images that clearly display the Vessel Name or IMO number if you have not acquired the legal rights to do so.
5 Limitation of Liability
ShipDealing shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform. Buyers are strictly advised to perform physical inspections, hire independent marine surveyors, and conduct thorough legal due diligence before transferring any funds for vessel acquisition.
